Day 1: In this tour we will drive through "The Avenue of the Volcanoes", you can see many mountains and volcanoes, such as: Pasochoa, Corazòn, Rumiñahui, Illinizas, Sincholagua and Cotopaxi Volcano - one of the most marvellous mountains in Ecuador with its 5'897 meters of altitude. You'll have time to explore the National Park and especially the Limpiopungo lagoon. Then we'll ascend to the refuge of Cotopaxi located at 4'800 meters of altitude (optional). After this nice experience we will pass the night at the city Latacunga (capital of the cotopaxi province) in a tourist class hotel. |

| Day 2:
In the morning we'll drive to the Quilotoa lagoon - an amazing emerald lagoon inside a volcano crater at the height of 3'800 meters. The journey displays beautiful views of the Andean mountains while passing the ancient canyon of Zumbahua and many indigenous towns and farmlands. Of course this area provides a fantastic chance to see the Real Ecuador. When we arrive at the spectacular Quilotoa lagoon we hike down to the lagoon and back up again in a stunning two-hour hike tour. It is possible to hire mules for part of the trek. |
