Course description 

Do you want to explore the jungle of Ecuador? If yes, this will be the right course for you. Further, we also reccommend this course for all students which decided to join a longer course at Sintaxis. In this case, please contact us to give you the appropriate price.

Program:

Night before Day 1:
At 22:30 we take the bus to Lago Agrio.

Day 1: Quito-Lago Agrio-El Puente
After a 7-hours bus-ride we will finally arrive to Lago Agrio. (Flying option: If you want to travel by Air Plane to Lago Agrio we can arrange that. The plane leaves Quito at 09:00 in the morning. But travelling by airplane is not included in the price of this special course and you have to pay it additionally.) After the transfer to the camp site by bus and canoe  you will enjoy dinner. In the night we do an exiting night walk in the jungle. (The Spanish lessons of this day will be oral during the whole day.)

Day 2: Cuyabeno River
After breakfast we have 4 Spanish lessons until midday. After lunch we go for a Piranha fishing trip. After dinner we take another exiting night walk.

Day 3: Cuyabeno River
After breakfast we have 4 Spanish lessons until midday. After lunch we walk to the Tarapuy Siona Community where our naturalist guide will explain everything about the culture and traditions of the native people living in the jungle.

Day 4: Cuyabeno River
After breakfast we have 4 Spanish lessons until midday. After lunch we go for a hike in the primary forest including lessons in the use of plants for survival. After dinner we go for a night canoe trip in search of caimans (alligators).

Day 5: Cuyabeno River
Your last day will start with bird watching. After Breakfast we have 4 Spanish lessons until midday. After lunch we'll have a relaxing time, swim and enjoy the sunset on the magnificent Laguna Grande. Then we return to Quito.

One of our teachers from Quito goes with you to Cuyabeno. He/she teaches you in the mornings and accompanes you in the afternoons for an excursion to the idyllic surroundings of Cuyabeno in the jungle.

You will be accompanied by one of our qualified Spanish teachers and have Spanish classes in the jungle - Cuyabeno.

In addition to the Spanish lessons you will go every day for an excursion in the jungle.

The price includes the travelling costs from and to Quito (by bus and canoe), teaching (16 hours), accommodation, equipment (rain coat, boots, mosquito net or tents & life jackets) and full board (including pure water) plus five excursions and other activities.

The course 2:1 means that you will be teached in a small group of two  students. Please note, that this course can only take place in case we bring together a class of two students. Otherwise we may offer you the 1:1 course.

The price does NOT include the entrance fee to the national park (20 USD), additional beverages and tips.
