Terms and Conditions Sintaxis School

Language  courses & holiday bookings

Please  use the enclosed enrolment for your language holiday. We will confirm your enrolment on receipt of your booking.

Payment
On receipt of your written enrolment confirmation a deposit of 10% of the total price of your language course or language holiday must be paid. The remaining 90% are due latest on your arrival or on your first day of classes.  Sintaxis School accepts cash in US$ as well as American Express Traveller Cheques. In case you prefer to pay your course by performing a banking transaction, please contact us in order that we can provide you with our banking details for the transaction.                  

Liability
We accept responsibility for ensuring that your Spanish course that you book with use is supplied as described in our website, but see also any comments in the letter we send you confirming your booking. If any part of your course is not provided as promised, we will pay yo appropriate compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your course with Sintaxis School. Our liability in all cases shall be limited to the maximum of the costs of your Spanish course / arrangement. We do not accept liability for services provided for you by a third party, where we have acted only as mediator. There is no Spanish classes on any official holidays of Ecuador.

Cancellations by the customer
In your own interest and in the interest of avoiding any misunderstandings we recommend that you notify us in writing in case you decide to cancel your booking. Should you cancel your Spanish course, the following administrative costs will be charged to you:
  • more than 2 weeks before arrival in Ecuador: 10% of the total costs of your booking
  • between 1 and 2 weeks prior your arrival in Ecuador: 25% of the total costs of your booking
  • up to 1 week prior your arrival in Ecuador: 50 % of the price of your booking

Complaints
For complaints during your Spanish cours, you must inform the school director who will endeavour to put things right. If you complaint is not resolved locally, please contact us by email.

Ecuador Tour bookings 

Please  use the enclosed enrolment for your Tour booking. We will confirm your enrolment on receipt of your booking. 

Payment

On receipt of your written enrolment confirmation a deposit of 10% of the total price of the tours operated by ourself (all tours where the code starts with STX) must be paid. The remaining 90% are due latest on your arrival or on your first day of classes.  Sintaxis School accepts cash in US$ as well as American Express Traveller Cheques. In case you prefer to pay your course by performing a banking transaction, please contact us in order that we can provide you with our banking details for the transaction.  

Any special tours such as Jungle tours or Galapagos tours as well as flight tickets must be payed in advance. The refound in case of cancelation is according the terms and conditions of the tour operator

Liability and responsibilities     

SINTAXIS, and its affiliates (owners, employees, agents) act only as agents in matters of transportation, accommodations, travel services and shall not be liable for any injury , damage, delay, mishap, inconvenience, accidents or irregularity of any kind whatsoever, resulting entirely or in part for the default of any company or individual engaged in providing the arranged services.                                                  

SINTAXIS, and its agents are not liable for loses or additional expenses due to changes or unforeseen delays caused by weather, acts of god, theft, strikes, sickness, war, failure of flight or other transportation to arrive or depart on time and other caused beyond our control. All such time stated.

SINTAXIS, assumes no responsibilities for loss or damage to baggage or personal property. On  departure upon his/her travel, the passenger voluntarily assumes all risks involved with such travel, and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them.

SINTAXIS, reserves the right to alter the itinerary when deemed necessary for the well being of the passenger, and is agreed that no refunds will be given in such circumstances. On some expeditions it is not possible to accommodate persons with severe health problems or physical disabilities, which involve walking or other activities. It is the passenger responsibility to judge the appropriateness of these travel activities to their physical capabilities. No refund can be made for absence from the tour unless arrangements are made at the time of booking. The retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above and the agreement on the part of the passenger to convey the contents here to travel companions or group members.
